Peter Reimholz

Péter Reimholz (1942-2009) is a defining and iconic figure in contemporary Hungarian architecture. His architecture has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, including the Miklós Ybl Award three times and the Kossuth Award in 2000. The professional, public and educational aspects of his work are both outstanding and standard-setting. Péter Reimholz's unexpected death in 2009 interrupted his career and the documentation of his work was also left unfinished, which this volume aims to make up for. It contains the entire Reimholz legacy (nearly 120 plans, completed buildings and numerous writings). Among these, the Balassagyarmat Cultural Center and High School building, the VIDEOTON Educational and Sports Center in Székesfehérvár, or the Hapimag apartment building in the Buda Castle are also of outstanding importance.
