The Zrínyi family

Throughout the family, members of the Croatian family have proudly agreed to be Croatian and Hungarian. They spoke the language of their ancestors and, being literary lovers, even wrote and read Croatian. At the same time, one of them cast on Hungarian parchment the story of the ancestor who died a heroic death against the Turks at the head of the Hungarian army. But there were Zrinski-Zrínyi who conspired against the Emperor of Vienna to stand on the bloodbath. His companions were partly Croatian and partly Hungarian. Finally, there was Ilona Zrínyi, whose life could be the subject of not only a finished novel, but a multi-part TV series. It belongs to a series in which a lot of surprising turns take place.
